Watson Arps & Wang Chan LLP Lawyer Luuk Sem involved in Vis Moot in Hong Kong

Last month, the Willem C. Vis Moot East (“Vis Moot”) took place in Hong Kong. The Vis Moot is a renowned moot court competition in the field of international trade arbitration. Lawyer Luuk Sem of Office Hong Kong, who teaches the master’s course ‘International Commercial Arbitration’ at the University of Amsterdam, was present in Hong Kong to assist students from the Dagon University of Myanmar.

Capacity Building Project

Over the past six months, Onno has supported the students in the Capacity Building Project in drawing up the defence documents and preparing for the pleadings. The Capacity Building Project aims to enable students from jurisdictions where there are no or few resources to participate in the prestigious moot court competition, both financially and in terms of content.

Office Hong Kong Sponsorship Team, University of Amsterdam

Office Hong Kong is involved as a sponsor in the participation of the University of Amsterdam’s team that also took part in the moot court competition in Hong Kong. The Amsterdam team also took part in the competition in Vienna. Office Hong Kong wishes the students every success!
