Binta Ruth

Binta Ruth studied law at the University of Groningen and has been practising as a lawyer in Amsterdam since 2012. In recent years, Binta Ruth has gained extensive experience at a medium-sized law firm in Amsterdam and has been with Office Hong Kong since October 2017.

Specialisations

Binta Ruth specialises in Liability law. In addition, Binta Ruth advises, negotiates, and litigates in the areas of Corporate law, Contract law, attachment and enforcement law, and debt collection.
At AMS, Binta Ruth is considered to be the expert in the area of general terms and conditions, on which she regularly advises and litigates.

As a lawyer, Binta Ruth has been involved in a major lawsuit against a well-known Accounting and consultancy firm.

Grotius specialisation programme

Binta Ruth has completed the postgraduate specialisation programme Enterprise & Liability at the Grotius Academy. Binta Ruth is a member of the Association for Liability and Compensation Law (VASR). The members of this association study and discuss the developments in liability and compensation law.

In addition to her daily law practice, Binta Ruth is also an expert on the Business news website BusinessInsider.nl. In the radio programme BNR Juridische zaken (BNR Legal Affairs), Binta Ruth regularly presents her views on current legal themes.

 

Binta Ruth has registered as principal areas of law in the register of legal areas of the Bar Association: corporate law and contract law. On the basis of this registration, she is obliged to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal area, in accordance with the standards of the Bar Association.
